Creative Confidence turns dreams into reality
The Maker Club programmes are designed to develop the key pillars of Creative Confidence

Our Programs
The Maker Club provides STEM/STEAM extra curricular programs/workshops for children between the ages of 5 and 17 years, both ONLINE as a Live facilitated video program (using Zoom) and ON CAMPUS (in person). Our workshops cover a range of modern technologies and the skills that go along with them such as Coding, Robotics, Engineering, 3D modelling and 3D Printing. What makes our workshops unique are the personal development conversations we have with our participants, which develop 'Soft Skills' such as Problem Solving, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Persistence, Initiative and Communication. We feel that combining academic knowledge from what is taught in the classroom, experiential knowledge from our hands-on approaches and Soft Skills will equip young people to actively engage in and enjoy their academic journey whilst also preparing them to be relevant and effective in the 21st century workplace. With the opportunities that technology offers continuing to grow we are always looking for ways to bring that tech into the hands of young people so they can start to think about how they use it in ways that are meaningful to them and their context whilst also broadening their ideas of possible future careers.
Who we are
The Maker Club is a registered Social Enterprise that began operations in june 2016. It was founded by Simba and Priscah Mufunde, a husband and wife team to help learners and educators bridge the gap between STEM/STEAM theory and practice through project based learning. The Maker Club provides STEM/STEAM project based extracurricular activities that help develop Creative Confidence and an understanding of the technology and the mindsets needed to succeed in the 21st century workplace.
Our Mission
To help equip young people with the STEM/STEAM Skills, mindsets and the attitudes they need to participate in the 21st century economy.
What We Do
We offer project based STEM/STEAM programs for learners aged from 5 years to 17 years that help develop Creative Confidence through ONLINE, ON CAMPUS and One on One interactions. We collaborate with Schools and community based organisations to deliver our programs to groups and communities. Not only do our programs give them an opportunity to learn about cutting edge technology like 3D printing, robotics, coding but they get to learn about the mindsets and attitudes like grit, curiosity, collaboration which are necessary to succeed in the 21st century economy.
