THE MAKER ACADEMY

The Maker Academy offers college and workplace readiness courses for youth 16 -24 that prepare them for the workplace of the future. Our programs are unique in that they are designed to develop both hard skills and soft skills, or transferable skills.

Hard skills are the technical skills that are required for a specific job. Soft skills are the interpersonal skills that are important for success in any field. Examples of soft skills include communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

At the Maker Academy, we believe that soft skills are just as important as hard skills for success in the workplace. That's why we integrate soft skill development into all of our programs.

The Maker Academy is committed to working with industry to develop the workforce of the future. We believe that our graduates are uniquely qualified to succeed in the workplace because they have both the hard skills and soft skills that employers are looking for.
